Green, how much I want you green ... (G. Lorca)
Marijuana grows from Tabar’s sculpture object, flooding the bottom and the surface under the frame: leaves of fragrant grass that embrace the curving cutlery: symbolic forks and spoons, a rat with a shoe in the Crucifixion, that bear the meaning and the <entire> content in the soon to be spoken, yet still unknown artist’s explication and "invisible" commentaries, hidden in the relations between the <ex> posed object; the objecthood that alone can not say anything other than <perhaps> just that which is concealed, hidden in the healing "pneuma" of leaves, which restores our conscience and consciousness and unconscious thought, and gives meaning to being – zoon politikon – in the personal, social and "cosmic" spaces of creation.
Dialegesthai en pharmakon: conversation – dialogue – explanation is the medicine, according to the Greek philosopher. In Marijuana the seed of healing, "semeion mega", i.e. the "great sign" of arrivals and departures, a sign – a signal – of physical and spiritual salvation, in clarity, in the intelligibility of apparitions, and somnambulism as "stordimento": narcosis and deafness that bring along a pure thought and rebirth with the healing of the body. The body – corporeality as the substance of marijuana is therefore what Ive Tabar introduces into his sculptural weaving, so that he "pledges" and presents it to our gaze, soul and blood vessels surrounding the heart muscle: the pneumaticness of his pulse in the day-and-night duration of the time piece, which <with our transience> reverberates the sound in eternity, with the hands of seconds.
