This year, the 11th Reciklart - international art festival of recycling and DIY culture will for the first time be holding a visual arts colony for visual arts students from universities in Slovenia and Serbia.
In the five days leading up to the festival, the participants will be working on this year's theme, "Electronic Waste", under the guidance of tutors from Slovenia and Serbia. Works created by the participants during the colony will be exhibited as part of the festival group exhibition at the Alkatraz Gallery and afterwards at an exhibition in Novi Sad at SKCNS*. The participants will also create a group work that will be donated to the Autonomous Cultural Zone Metelkova mesto.
The aim of the colony is (cross-border) networking of visual arts students through cooperation and socialising.
The colony will provide:
⁃ Working materials.
⁃ Transportation (Slo <-> Srb).
⁃ Accommodation.
⁃ One hot meal per day.
Participation and all of the above are free of charge.
