08 September 2022 > 31 October 2022 Kindly invited to the opening of the exhibition "Horus" by artist Rok Mohar, on Thursday, 8 September, at 7pm, at The Smallest Gallery, Channel Zero in the framework of the 29th anniversary of AKC Metelkova mesto.
Rok Mohar, who has been creating for many years in his art studio in the building Hlev (Barn) as part of the autonomous cultural centre, will be exhibiting in The Smallest Gallery, Channel Zero in the framework of the 29th anniversary of AKC Metelkova mesto. As in the group exhibition entitled Terra Inhabitabilis – Life after the End of the World in the Alkatraz Gallery (with Danilo Milovanović and Uroš Weinberger) that will take place simultaneously, he will present himself with a work from the series Chernobylians that he has been creating since 2014. The extensive collection of sculptural works is a peculiar fantastic story with a frightening tone, which is rounded off with Charter of the Chernobylians (2016), designed like a manifesto. The latter humorously addresses the readers to unite in the fight for a better world. In addition to thinking about our existence and the mechanisms to which we are subjected, behind the Chernobylians story there is therefore also a call for a better world, in which there is no misinformation, discrimination, exploitation and in which natural life remains unharmed.
